if wishing makes it so

persimmon tree corgi ::EMMA:: (my dream pupper)
It has been a Saturday of thought ... The weather has been beautiful all day long. Last Saturday was a storm that washed everything clean within an inch of our life then more on and off all week ... I was considering looking for gopher wood. I was thinking ... to build an ark.
This morning rang in with sunshine and just a few clouds, all fluffy and gorgeous. One of those nearly perfect days ... And the neighborhood was buzzing with activity. I think every dog had every person out for a walk today past my cottage. This is always a hard thing for me to watch. Sometimes more difficult at certain times than others, and this was one of those days. A day filled with light and shadows.
I miss my dog terribly.
Today would have been filled with long walks and nose touching. A big meet and greet at the gate with circles of joy when the gate was opened to let in a friend to play, and that friends human invited to sit while the pups explored the garden for interesting things.

Now I will tell you of a secret ... One I have kept to myself (except for one friend) about something that might happen. A something perhaps quite wonderful is brewing.
I must share with you something special that happened this past week. Joyous. Very amazing news. I have by chance/destiny/fate met someone that has Pembroke Welsh Corgi pups expected this March.

persimmon tree corgi ::RYDER::
Although Rhonda lives far away from me ...
This sweet person has said I might be considered as the recipient of one of her babies puppies should the stars align just right. I am ::wishing:: for a little girl with big brown eyes, and I am begging the Fates to allow this puppy to be born. Born into this world with my name whispered to her at the moment she is kissed by the faeries and descends to this sphere.
My heart beats in thumps so big it threatens to leave my chest just thinking of the possibility of a sweet little Corgi again in my life. I have not yet healed from the loss of Terpsichore. She will forever remain in my heart ... But perhaps my heart will not hurt so much if I have the chance to glue the broken pieces with thousands of puppies kisses. Yes, This would be a gift from the faeries.
It might not be this year. Might not even be the next.
But really, one never knows exactly anything about things like this. It has been occupying my thoughts as of late. This could be the summer it happens ... A puppers to come to live again here at the cottage. And if this were to happen, I am telling you it will be a party to beat all at the bottom of the garden.
If wishing makes it so, it will be.
=^..^= love, zU

If extra wishes from another faerie heart help make it so, then it will be so. xoxox faerie rella

zuzu... we will ALL wish with you, there is an extra measure of magic where all hearts are connected! i had a friend that also raised corgis and brought the puppies into the shop where i used to work for us to play with ~ oh there is nothing that compares to new puppy eagerness!(whilst the customers also delighted in cuddling!) oh, i wanted to take one home..but they were all spoken for! soooo, if you succeed in having the good fairies sprinkle a little heavenly dust over you...we will all be delighted for you! we must've gotten your rain in the form of snow and cold wind here in the middle! looking forward to seeing the warm sunshine soon!

I hold my fingers crossed for you that your big wish will come true dear Zu! Aren't corgis the dogs the English Queen owns? I'm not a big "connoisseur des chiens" but I just saw the movie "The Queen" on Saturday night and she always had 3 of them following her everywhere through house and garden.

you know a corgi is of a similar stature as a dachshund (as in Luna) AND David's dear Mother's aunt raised the Queen's corgis - I do hope one is watching you from above - one who knows what a wonderful home is waiting.

I am so sorry to hear that you lost your beloved dog. My faithful and dear companion of 15 years is failing fast at this time. I am so afraid we are going to have to put him down soon, and he will be remembered and missed every single day the rest of my life.

I just know your wish will come true and the perfect dog is right now wishing for someone like you. I worked with someone who had a corgi and I adored that dog, he had a swish to his walk and loved to play!

OMG this post warms my heart because I did have a dog ~Ginger~ who had the look of a corgi...always asked if she was.We loved that little girl so much for 15 wonderful years and nursed her back from a spinal cord injury! For years after she passed away I would see a Corgi or a picture just a a time when I missed her terribly and I am sure it was Ginnys way of saying ~Hello My spirit still with you~ As I look at these photos I see my ~Ginny~sigh...she's always in that little corner of my heart! Thank you dearest ZuZu for these wonderful photos! I wish you a little one soon fingers and toes crossed all the fairies alerted!
hugs NG..P.S I am returning home fro the sunshine state on Sunday in the meantime I home you've been checking in.

This makes me sad for my Lady, who we had for 19 years, but dogs don't last forever, just wish it was longer than us, and we would not be heart broken...
Hope this is meant to be for you, cause that is how a perfect pet union happens...

My little girl Scooter was with us for 16 wonderful fun filled years. It has been nine years since we said our goodbyes and I still miss her. Three years ago we welcomed Heidi into our hearts and home and she is a blessing. After Scooter I had said no more dogs.....I can't take the heartbreak of losing them. But thank goodness that changed and we now love our new little girl and can't imagine life without her. I wish for you the magic of a new little puppy to fill you with joy.

Making a great big huge wish that you get your puppy ZuZu!
We had two pembrookss when I was a teenager at home and as a child we had a cardigan. Both kinds were lovely. It took me a few years to get another dog after my golden retriever Benjamin.
